Description
The color is dark brown with distinct hints of black, the nose is intense and persistent, the taste is enveloping and harmonious; aromatic notes of coffee and vanilla emerge. The aromas of this liqueur date back to the 16th century, when coffee arrived on Ligurian shores thanks to the voyages of Genoese sailors. It is made with moka coffee makers, in small quantities, respecting an ancient Ligurian recipe and using special blends of selected coffees. Intense and persistent aromas. Ingredients: Restricted Coffee Alcohol, Sugar, Vanillin. Alcohol content: 25% vol. Essentiae was created in 1998 by Debora Bosoni with Fiorella Stoppa, a long-time expert in the art of making liqueurs using the local tradition of cold infusion. They are focused on keeping traditions alive and producing natural, crafted liqueurs from ancient Ligurian and Mediterranean recipes. Every liqueur is hand prepared with high-quality ingredients sourced from local crops at their peak harvest. These liqueurs have extremely distinctive flavors: they can be enjoyed 'straight' as traditionally done or 'mixed' in fun cocktails! The Essentiae workshop is located at Ca'Lunae, the newly renovated 1700s farmhouse that hosts the winery, tasting room, and a museum with local artifacts.
