Glendronach Original 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glendronach has been a favorite of mine for years, with multiple expressions that are top quality in the large world of Single Malt Scotches. The moment we started to build the spirits program here at Cree I knew I had to get them in. This superb richly sherried single malt is matured for at least 12 years in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. The GlenDronach 12 year old Original is a sweet, creamy dram bottled at 43% ABV and natural in color. Founded in 1826, The GlenDronach was one of the very first licensed distilleries and is named after the source of its water: the Dronac burn. They are known as pioneers of sherry cask maturation, aging their whisky in the finest Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Rich complex notes of dried red fruit, caramel and spice. This Single Malt is a classic and comes Highly Recommended. Appearance is deep amber-red gold, with aromas of sweet creamy vanilla and hints of ginger, spiced mulled wine and pear. The palate is rich, creamy & silky-smooth. Warm, rich oak fill the mouth with sherry sweetness, raisins and soft fruits. Spicy with medium length and a dry finish. Long, complex and nutty, this is one of the best 12 year old single malt scotches available!
