The Amazing 2023 Vintage from Dalla Valle 3
Without a doubt Dalla Valle is one of the greatest wineries in Napa Valley, and in the world as well. This a legendary, perched in the hills on the eastern sides of Oakville in some of the best terroir in all of Napa.
It was created in 1986 by Naoko and Gustav Dalla Valle, who had the vision to buy the property in the early 1980s. Today the winery is run by Naoko and her daughter Maya, with Andy Erikson their long time consulting winemaker.
The vineyard is on a plateau 400 feet above the valley floor off the Silverado Trail, wirth rocky, iron-rich, and volcanic red soils, and has been certified organic since 2007.
Signature Wines - All three of these wines are iconic, benchmark Napa wines, with power, depth and balance, each taking it up a notch, each superb in their own category. If you were going to splurge on just one topo tier Napa wine, these would be an excellent option.
Maya: The iconic flagship red blend, typically composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, named after their daughter.
Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon: The estate's foundational Cabernet-dominant wine blended with Cabernet Franc.
