98 jeb Dunnuck - The 2021 Barolo Monprivato is captivating and perhaps even more charming than the 2019 at a similar stage. Aromas of fresh raspberries, mint, roses, anise, and incense rise from the glass. Medium-bodied yet profound, it combines haunting elegance with remarkable depth and precision. Refined tannins and vibrant acidity frame the wine beautifully, giving it both immediacy and tremendous aging potential. Drink 2026-2056.
97 Vinous Media - The 2021 Barolo M
onprivato is a wine of pure and total sensuality. Crushed flowers, wild red berry fruit, orange peel, mint and white pepper all grace this delicate, nuanced Barolo. The 2021 is naturally an infant, but its balance is sublime. It's one of the most refined young Monprivatos I can remember tasting.
